It took me about 10 years of discussing exercising and of course buying all the equipment for the various sports I was going to ( in the future – not actually today of course) take up. Eventually I was embarrassed to even say this in front of any of my friends who had lived through these 10 years of false promises – I was sure I could actually feel them discretely rolling their eyes.
Then it took me another 5 years of spending lots of money joining gyms. I actually joined in Bergen county alone – the former Health Spa 2, Gold’s Gym in the Township, Westwood Racquetball Club – which I attended perhaps three times each. I think I actually lasted about 3 months at the Racquetball club – I had a crush on one of the trainers. I figured out that I had spent about $130 per gym visit.
